Do You Have An Answer To "Privitization" ?

Recommended Posts

I think we need to take a step back & ask ourselves some questions.

We are talking about services provided in "first world" countries. There are questions that arise here over profit or people. There is also the question of provision of services to those in our society who are unable to afford care for themselves.

While government run services, are more expensive & may appear to be poorly run, the emphasis is, in my experience working for such an agency, more on patient care than on revenue & profitability. They tend to care & be the main port of call for the less fortunate. They have the ability to control far better a scope of practice & standardization of training.

Government run services also (can) provide a safety net for communities. This can be gained through cross training & skills increases that are standardized.
