I love the ones the obey the 3ft rule... they ride 3 ft from a curb, and expect traffic to stay 3ft away from them, AND avoid getting in a head on collision. Whatever happened to natural selection? Well the ones that are obeying the law shouldn't be able to get into a head on since we ride with traffic not against. As for 3 feet from the curb that's a safety reason. Between car bits, glass, and dirt being close to the curb is suicide. I tend to ride 2 feet from the curb to give myself enough safe space out of the dirt but not into the traffic.
