I am a Christian also, and I am a member of a large non denominational church, Approaching 5000 members. My background in VFD and EMS goes back to the mid 70s, I was not active in VFD for many years because when I moved to NC, I was not in a Volly district. I got back into EMS service at my church about 4 years ago as a member of our EMS/Safety Team, and to help me in that ministry, I have just recently passed the EMT-B class and got my state certification, now I have joined our county Heavy Rescue Squad to further serve our community, and to help keep my skills up as well as get the required Con.Ed for certification. Long story short, you could serve in EMS and serve God at the same time! Best of luck wherever you wind up serving, Just be sure that you are following your hearts passion, after all, it is God who put that passion in you.
