  1. Is anyone here a NY EMT or have any info on becoming one on Long Island? (paid, not volunteer)

I wish i could help you out but i myself was looking for the same info..I would like to work for Nassau County Ambulance but dont know how to go about it...I do know they only hire Emt CC and Medics...

  2. So, you're saying the administration is in no way responsible for failing to heed the warning signs of 9/11 and reacted swiftly and appropriately to the situation with Hurricane Katrina, huh? Tell me, what color is the sky in your world? Bush is a moron. His actions and inactions allow Americans to die.

I totally agree with you....Bush is a moron and i strongly believe it was because of him that soo many people lost their lives with 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina...He is only looking out for the wealthy and his buddies who helped put him in office....He stole the first election from Gore...Which is really sad..He couldn't even win it on his own..I personally hate the man....

  3. I heard this somewhere.....still haven't tried it.

Buy some raw onions and some caramel for caramel apples. Put popsicle sticks in the onions, dip them, leave them on the counter and wait for the next sucker to walk in.

good one...i must try this at my VAC...

  4. I personally feel that the EMT course is almost a giving for anyone who can just open their eyes at the beginning of a day..When i took my state EMT test i was blown away by some of these people..I think my dog is smarter then most of them..Who was sitting on the floor cursing at their friends and some whose pants were hanging off them with their boxers showing. At first i didn't think i was in the right area for the test and then someone announced, to please form a line soo we can enter the testing area..Too my surprise these same people were in line with me..Oh well..I guess because of the low salary maybe that's all they can find to do the job.

  5. It seems like most of the people I work with either drive trucks or SUV's. I drive a jeep, and couldn't really imagine driving anything smaller or without 4wd.

I drive a jeep too..love the comfort of the jeep...I dont know about you but i find that i have to replace the rotars evey couple of thousand miles..the jeep has 17,000 miles and the rotars have been replaced 3 times..Gas mileage is poor...
