Are you a medic or emtcc? I'm a emtcc and just dont know who to go to for info..The salary is soo much better here in the island then with FDNY..

I wish i could help you out but i myself was looking for the same info..I would like to work for Nassau County Ambulance but dont know how to go about it...I do know they only hire Emt CC and Medics...

I totally agree with you....Bush is a moron and i strongly believe it was because of him that soo many people lost their lives with 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina...He is only looking out for the wealthy and his buddies who helped put him in office....He stole the first election from Gore...Which is really sad..He couldn't even win it on his own..I personally hate the man....

I feel that after someone has reached the age of 70 they should only be allow to drive only in the day time hours and also have to take a eye test every year.. I also feel that they should raise the driving age from 16 to 19..There is no reason for someone at the age of 16 to have a drivers licenses..Way too young.... :roll:

I don't think that judging someone because they wear a certain style of clothes is very intelligent. I have met many people that wear a suit and tie that are bigger dumb-a$$e$ than some of the kids that have low rider pants. And as for cursing... Have you ever been in the service? Many very intelligent people join our armed forces and they "curse like a sailor".

I personally feel that the EMT course is almost a giving for anyone who can just open their eyes at the beginning of a day..When i took my state EMT test i was blown away by some of these people..I think my dog is smarter then most of them..Who was sitting on the floor cursing at their friends and some whose pants were hanging off them with their boxers showing. At first i didn't think i was in the right area for the test and then someone announced, to please form a line soo we can enter the testing area..Too my surprise these same people were in line with me..Oh well..I guess because of the low salary maybe that's all they can find to do the job.

It seems like most of the people I work with either drive trucks or SUV's. I drive a jeep, and couldn't really imagine driving anything smaller or without 4wd.

I drive a jeep too..love the comfort of the jeep...I dont know about you but i find that i have to replace the rotars evey couple of thousand miles..the jeep has 17,000 miles and the rotars have been replaced 3 times..Gas mileage is poor...

To be honest with you i use whatever i have available at that time to make a splint..Remember its not how it looks but as long as it does the job. Pillows, Sheets, Blanket's and of course cravats....

My ambulance corp just got the life pack 12 and i was told we can decide on our own wheter to use the paddles or pads..Many people prefer to use the pads but if u are dealing with someone who is very hairy or has oily skin the pads become a problem..
