Died much on the inside yet JT?
Give it time, once my roommate gets married in a few months and moves out of the area, then I might
-
I get away with it by being 500 miles from the closest family. No sig other, no kids. I just don't have to bother telling anyone
-
Well first I would shoot at the kidneys. then the lower intestinal area, then take out the throat then the face and heart...
Having knowledge of anatomy helps I figure I could disable someone with a shot to the abdomen, and then if I really needed to kill them throat, face and heart are next...logical I think?
Ya know I never thought about it like that. I've always just figured I'll shoot ya till you stop coming towards me. And my CCW instructor in NM hammered that into us as well
-
True... CO is a gun friendly state... I did have one guy in MD though try and get my number at the gun range... he seemed to like my shooting...although that probably should have scared a sane guy away since I have a funny way of shooting the body targets
O_o that I have to see

Yes I have taken someone on a date to a shooting range. It's not that far out of reality
-
I'm sorry to hear that Anthony. If there's something any of us can do let us know. It sucks that they did this to you over something that trivial

HE probably would have been fine if he hadn't had the firearm on airport property. I carry almost everywhere I go, but I know airports are offlimits

Think about what a fast food worker makes, then subtract a few dollars an hour

I did forget one of my favorite historical fantasy series. The Camulod series from Jack Whyte. Great re imagining of the Arthurian legends
-
Wow... that rule is a bit harsh. Where I've worked, hitting a curb just meant that you bought ice cream for your crew But good luck with everything. Hope it goes well for ya
-
I'm finishing up pretty much the entire Pern series from Anne Mcaffery. Great fantasy books right there
Another good one in the fantasy realm is the Amber series by Roger Zelazny
-
Yea, but anyone who watches NCIS knows that the book will eventually make it to the work place.
Ah yes, L.J. Tibbs

Sounds like he got what he deserved

On the Codeine thing, I guess it could be possible.Codeine is a narcotic so I'd assume it could slow respirations when too much is taken just like morphine or heroin.
As for the rest of the episode... I'm undecided on what I thought about it.

Being a volunteer from NJ can I ask why all the hostility on the board twords us? I understand about the FAC and some squads not being the best caliber but why blanket wash all volies as a whole? I know some great EMTs that are volies, I also know folks on my squad that will call ALS in a heartbeat if they believe its above their expertise or the patient requires it.
As an example.... MVA w/ minor injuries but pt stated she was a diabetic and hadn't taken her meds today. ALS dispatched and checked pt.. released to BLS. Only reason for the ALS was the blood sugar, better have her checked then not.
The hostility isn't towards ya'll personally. It's just that most of us believe the system in NJ is one of the most retarded ones in the country. IMHO it's even worse than CAs incredibly fragmented system.

It does seem the medics screwed up. If they didn't want this to happen they should stage properly.

WTF are you doing going out to Jackson Mississippi from Arizona? I'm sooo confused....

Glad I'm not the only one who was a little lost on that

I get about 2000 from fafsa, and one job i work is at an ambulance company but its sort of perdiem weekends only so itd work but my other job would never scahedule around it,well hopefully AMR will pick me up and let me come work for them
From what I have been told about AMR, unless you have a little seniority, don't expect them to work around your schedule at all. Or they might have you sign a contract to work for them for so many years, but pay for school and work around your schedule.
Although if I can get 2k that would pay for one semester fully for tuition (I'm on out of state tuition right now)
-
Since I was under 23, FASFA wouldn't give me money for my first attempt, but luckily I was working for an ambulance service, and then a hospital, during P-school. Both were willing to work around schedules. Although there were days I got to class after a 12 hour shift and the day dragged.
For this coming attempt, I'll be 23, so I might be able to get some grants or fed student loans through FASFA. Plus working wherever I can, whenever I can.

I'd say go with the Nurses unless you are planning on having your medics trained to the level of medics in places like Australia or New Zealand. The system we have in the US is very flawed and I'd say do not go with anything like it.

Why look them up online, I have a genuine FEMA ICS Municipal EMC Test Answer Key in the desk drawer. I'm sure that I could help you correct your test.
Actually, no, I would never do that. I'm pretty sure that it would be a violation of some federal law.
It'll sure have FEMA not let you do their courses no more I saw that warning on ICS 100,200, and 700
Hey Richard B! YEA YOU!
