    Had a call come over dispatch that a mine worker had sat down and had a mini screwdriver in his back pocket, and I bet you can all guess he has a 2 1/2 inch impalement wound in left cheek.

    Thanks that is a really good way to look at it. Admitingly I know almost nothing about the EMS so everyday will be a new experience for me.

    Is there any advice that anyone can give for and emt just starting to work in the field? Especially concerning patient care, and being able to cross a language barrier.
