I am very nervous as well about having to learn how to drive these vehicles, but I have to wait until I find a driving school for that license- Ive heard that its not bad at all once you've got the hang of it though...Time will tell I guess... txemt Posted July 6, 2006 Share Posted July 6, 2006 It depends on the service..the last one I worked for only required you to have a City Of Dallas Ambulance permit. This involved getting an application signed by the employer and then attending a regular defensive driving course then turning in the certificate and volia you can drive the ambulance.
