I'm going on to Paramedic school in the Fall after being an EMT for 1 1/2 years, and then getting my AEMT-CC (equivalent to NREMT-I99).

My reasoning was I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life...now I know...so here I am, 4 years later and 30,000 in debt for my B.A. in history lol...

Wish I would have found out what I wanted to do earlier, but in the end...whatever makes you happy...

I'm glad you found the spark that lights your fire faster than I did!!!

If you are going to do it, do it all the way. Just make sure you really have the passion for this job. Otherwise all the schooling in the world is useless. That is my only thought. Just make sure you really want to help the sick and injured or dying. It isn't always glamorous. Take care of yourself and good luck.
