New York City and State laws, I believe, state that anyone who calls for any sort of EMS intervention (my wording, by the way) should have a reasonable expectation of getting that EMS help.

If the individual is an illegal, I still have to triage, treat and/or transport. That is my obligation as a provider.

Now, if the hospital wants to notify the alphabet agencies that they have an illegal, it is no longer my concern, as I did my job getting the individual to the hospital.

Now, if someone wants to impound my FDNY ambulance, although it might be with an old vehicle, the department should have something to replace my 2 year old truck.
