Ok I hope this turns out to be a funny thread.......Doesn't have to be a bad call b/c someone hurt or died, just like you know in your head that the dispatcher gave you this one because you pissed her off somehow, someway..... :)

You know the call is going to go downhill quickly after you hear/see your patient say/do this..........

OK carry on, this should be interesting, I loved when I did my ride alongs when I was in school to see om the people that got on the ambulance and start off with some stupid crap to get drugs, etc....They take one look at each other and know this call is going to be BS!

Just wondering what situation you had that "people that got on the ambulance and start off with some stupid crap to get drugs,etc..." that you had that your crew (or you) lead you to believe that. Just wondering what signs or qualities with the patient you or your crew used.

I can probably count on one hand (in like 4 years) the times I have had a nondescript pain call (or otherwise, but we'll assume that) that I knew was going to be BS or drug-seeking.

Just a question...

The firefighters are standing around with a look of confusion mixed with terror is never a good sign. Nor is it when you hearing screaming and arguing in a language you can't even place let alone understand coming out the front door. Nor is it a good sign when five drunk guys come stumbling up you trying to give their version of events.

When the SNF nurse says, "Patient very sick, you take patient now" and the really large O2 tank is by your patient's bed.

These are the ones where you get called non-lights and sirens for an interfacility transport and the notes that come across the pager are, "Stable per facility." Stable per facility my a$$ lol! :D
