It is amazing that a job that requires this much responsibility at times takes only 2 months of training, or even less time in some places.

You're right. It is amazing. It's amazingly stupid that it takes so little time especially considering that in many places it takes more training time to get a license to cut hair than it does to work on an ambulance.

I'd refuse to administer or draw up the atropine and state on scene if need be that atropine is not indicated for refractory ventricular fibrillation according to the current 2010 AHA recommendations.

Odd. Are you sure that coarse VF is actually on the monitor, and that you're not seeing CPR artefact? This is more commonly mistaken for VT than coarse VF. Two more bits of weirdness here

I don't know Mike, I have seen some bad hair cuts out there.
