Newbie alert From CA

Hi All!

I have just finished the certification process for being an EMT-B. Yayness! And I'm eager to get my feet wet with a real EMT job now. Currently, I'm trying to get out of the fast food business and I understand that the application process for EMT jobs is totally different from most other jobs. I want to do well and am trying to get an idea of what the process is like for most companies. From some brief discussion in class and from what I've read around here, I know there's a written portion, an interview, and a skills test, but I'd like to know what each of those processes is like. So if ya'll could share your advice/tips and experiences with me on those, it would be much appreciated. Thanks! I'm so excited to get started!
