EMT-B from az moving to las vegas needs help

Hi everybody, i'm an EMT-b from Arizona that is relocating to Las Vegas. I need to know how to transfer my certification, or become certified to begin applying for jobs in Vegas. I've called the EMS and Trauma Systems Office and they basically told me I need to already have residency established there in order to apply for certification. I can't apply for residency until I have a place to live, and I can't get a place to live unless I have a job, so you see my dilemma. If any EMT's that have relocated to Vegas could help me out on what I should do, I'd really appreciate it very much.

No i'm not working now, I recently got certified in January of 2011.

Why not just get a job doing something else to get you set up for residency purposes? Then move forward from there.

or apply for an EMT job in Arizona with a company that has operations in Vegas... That way you can transfer.

Try and find a phone number to contact someone in the NV office. Some states allow you to apply for reciprocity based on special circumstances, which sometimes includes applying for EMT jobs in the area.
