Last month, at the 100th Precinct Community Council meeting, "Cop Of The Month" awards were made to 2 NYPD officers, who responded to a man shot, a short distance from the local shopping area, who also claimed to be victim of a drive-by. Something triggered the LEOs' "Spidey Sense", and on further investigation, discovered the man had shot himself. When they searched his apartment, a block away, they arrested the "victim" for possession of an Uzi Automatic weapon, and for child endangerment, as there was a 5 year old in the apartment with the hidden but unsecured weapon, as well.
