Good thoughts going out to the crew of the bus involved. It was from a company I used to run into several times a shift when I worked nights in ABQ. Hoping the crew comes out of it ok. Last I heard the medic who was airlifted to UNMH is in surgery. :(

Hate to hear about these events happening. I hope it turns out ok and all recover. My thoughts are with all that knew these individuals. It still hurts to read about wrecks and crashes involving EMS as the STAT Air Ambulance fixed wing that took the lives of many including my close friend in July is still to fresh.

FUnny you should mention them. They're actually settin up their operations down here in my county... I'm still not sure how I feel about that.

And no new news from my buddies that are still in NM :( I'll update when I get some more news.

Investigators are unsure if alcohol factored into this crash.

I would be highly suspitious if it wasn't!! OK maybe drugs as well or including. Wrong way at 100mph doesn't sound like someone with all their faculties.

My heart and prayers go out to all involved and I hope for a quick and full recovery for all.

Not trying to detract from the topic , but from reading the article, it seems the EMT was driving the ambulance with no one in it, after she had already dropped off her partner. Why would someone be in the ambulance w/ out their partner? Sorry if this is off topic, that part just confused me, and I was hoping someone can help explain it.

My thoughts are going out to everyone involved in the accident... hopefully they have as good an outcome as possible.

The only time we did this was when we were off duty and my colleague dropped my off home (as I don't drive) but where our bus is is just around the corner at our garage in the hospital. But it could be the same type of thing drop your colleague off as they might not have the car then drive the bus back to the station and finish up. Simple little gesture but to have a crash you could be outside your department/station are like my crash which I was 10 seconds away from my house!
