Share your stories for a book

Any EMT/Paramedics/Docs/Nurses willing to share a story for a book? I am collecting weird, funny and unusual medical stories to be added to a book. Please if you do have a story remember to change the name so that we dont violate HIPPA.

If you share a story you will retain all rights to the story I will just have you sign a permission form giving me permission to put it in my book and publish it.

I would also add that besides leaving out names, I would also leave out/change any potentially identifying characteristics as well. Hospitals, nurses, docs, locations, towns- all need to be concealed or altered because patient privacy isn't the only thing you need to worry about.

Anyone who does LEO, FD, or EMS work for a year, and can write, will find the general public responding to the book by saying "No way that would ever really happen."

After 37 years working the ambulances, or their support services, I've been called a liar for some of the stuff I have mentioned as seeing while on the job, the stranger stuff more than the everyday. I think that many of us, writers or not, have had that experience.

Good luck with the book, OP, but I am competing with one of my own I am writing!

This is exactly what I've been intending to do. I even had some stories submitted but have lost them. Great that you're doing it. I'll give you any help I can. Many stories, many experiences.
