Dude don't waste your time being a nobody emt

I 100% agree. The last thing this profession needs is more diluted johnny & roy wannabe hero's who suddenly realise they are nothing more than glorified taxi drivers. If you are going to enter this profession do NOT be a nobody EMT (P). Be known as a "mover & shaker", do research, be a patient advocate, be a profession advocate, educate others etc, etc,

Just do not fall into the trap of taking some 2 bit course thinking you will ever be anything more than another number on an employee insurance form if you do not get into this for the right reasons.

Otherwise you will find yourself a few years down the road, disapointed in your life, telling newbie EMS professionals to walk away from what can be one of the most rewarding careers out there, based on your own diluted visions of heroism and saving lives.

RN is definatly more money though..... But it is after all a totally different job.
