Yeah, as Spenac says, the commute can be kind of a bitch... I've not taken any of these instructor courses before. What's necessary to qualify? I mean, I'm confident, as long as I don't have to intubate, or start IVs or splint, or bandage, or package, or set a drip rate, or talk on the radio, or listen to lung sounds, or write anything, or touch anything goopy, or palp anything....I think I'm good.... :wink: Ok, serioulsy though, what's necessary? Dustdevil Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 As with all instructor courses, it has nothing to do with skill or subject matter competency. It's all about instructional techniques and record-keeping. You learn the administrative structure of the programme, how to keep the records, a few superficial concepts of instructional theory and positive reinforcement, and then have to present a topic for like fifteen minutes or so without looking like a total dork.
