The NREMT has at least made the effort to have schools accredited to make the graduates eligible for testing. Educators would have to be on the same page and states that are greatly lacking in college based education centers would be at a disadvantage.

I believe that disadvantage is minimal and overstated by those states. Those states are getting nurses somewhere, aren't they? There are many more nurses employed in any area than there are paramedics. And since there are no more non-collegiate nursing schools, that means there are colleges capable of educating medical professionals there. Any college that has a nursing programme that can educate nurses can also educate paramedics.

It can be done.
