DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THE AMR STRIKE IN LOS ANGELES?

Recommended Posts

i here there are some mgt personnel going to l.a. to cover the strike from st louis, most "road" people won't go. i personally won't cross a picket line. but i hear their forcing the "salaried" mgt to go anyway. i curious as to how long it may last, or has it even begun yet?

LOL! Like there is a shortage of EMTs in LA County!

I never understood the concept of paying an organisation to lose your job for you.

To be honest, with the number of ambulance companies in the area as well as "emergent" (taxi driver for fire medics/general public) and "non-emergent" (taxi driver for health care facilities), I'm willing to bet that OC and LA are one of the few areas where EMTs are actually in serious demand.

Yeah, probably so. But it is also one of the few places where the infrastructure is in place to produce a thousand replacements in three weeks.

true, but those newbies will still have to pass a practical and written exam. are they national registry out there? i know around here, they use adjuncts that are emts/medics for the practical exam. they might not be so easy on the newbies to replace them.
