  1. I still have my original magnums from EMT class, they are tough, shine up alright, and have saved my toes a few times. I will admit they are a definitely heavy, I found them very uncomfortable after I sprained my ankle, but they work... I vote for boots, but I am a rural EMS medic. Dust Devil called it, I have found myself in the ditch many times, often in knee high snow. My advice is to think about what you need, if you don't need steel toes don't get them, and if your not going to be running around in ditches forget the boots. Also look for zipper entry either built in or lace in, The most fantastic invention in boot design in my opinion, Gets you out the door a lot faster!
  2. Thanks for the tip, thats awesome. I had no idea you could search the forums here, definitely a big help. Haha, as for the homework, I will do my own. I miss being a professional student!
  3. Well I've finally decided to take the leap and go into the paramedic program. I am in the process of applying a few places and I was wondering what program is the best. I chose the wrong EMT program, poorly organized and folded a year after I graduated. I am hoping not to go through all that trouble again! I will appreciate any and all information on the topic, and any tips as well. Thanks!
  4. One time I got called for a code, and ended up transporting a perfectly fine but quite drunk lady. Her husband was sick of dealing with her, and called 911.
