Physio Control have made some good equipment in the past (Lifepak 5 and 10), but in my opinion they lost the plot from Lifepak 12 onwards and the new Lifepak 15 isn't much of an improvement for the added cost. They seem to enjoy making obtuse and heavy devices with poor displays which obviously have no place in the EMS or pre-hospital field. The Philips MRX is far superior in many aspects and I too have become a Philips convert after seeing what their equipment has to offer. Helimedic

The discussion here does not focus on the legality of substances used but the high rate of substance abuse by EMS personnel. My previous comment regarding alcohol being a much bigger problem still stands, especially when this drug is socially acceptable and this problem is often not addressed. This is a storm in a tea cup over a little bit of weed..........................

Give the guy a break. Smoking a bit of weed once in a while in his off time does little damage, and is a far cry from the all the alcoholics that currently work in EMS. You can binge drink every night, but don't dare smoke a bit of weed............... :!:
