I never really liked the really cheapo shears. Call me a snob, but I really don't like the Pakistani Steel, it just somehow doesn't seem to be built to last. Unfortunately, the German variety seems harder and harder to find, does anyone out-there know where anyone can get a German made pair of shears without resorting to the $60 pair which was mentioned at the beginning of topic. The last time I bought one, I vaguely remember it being less than $20.

Hi there, new to the forum (just managed to come across it via google). I used to live in Queens, and if you're looking for uniforms and supplies you can go to Jo-Paul's Uniforms in Richmond Hill Queens. It has a combination of NYPD and EMS stuff. I know the Jamaica Hospital EMS guys go there (being it's in their neighborhood). It's located at 105-02 Jamaica Ave (718-849-3861). The only other uniform store in the city limits I'm aware of is "Uniforms by Park Coats" which is 790 3rd Ave in Brooklyn (718-499-1182) I've passed by a few Uniform places in Long Island, but can't speak one way or another about any of them.
