We have a Level 1 trauma room about 35 minutes away. We have the advantage of Air Life which takes 15 minutes round trip to transport critical patients. They also do the long transports.

We have an average time of waiting 35-40 minutes for a transporting agency to get to us. We are in the middle of corn and bean fields and serve a area of 60 square miles. We recently went to Ambulance assist and working our way to a transporting agency. But because of the last service that was located here we are being watched really close and have to prove ourselves. But the wait is horrible! Even if we were able to transport it would take us 35-40 minutes to get to the hospital.
