  1. I'm surprised that this thread has stayed alive this long. Wow.
  2. Heheh, good point. I've seen ogrish and rotten and the nastiest pictures on the net, but wasn't expecting that to pop out at such a large resolution. Just be glad I'm not scarred for life.
  3. You're right. There's chance for those funds, though.
  4. It's just my personal opinion, I didn't like it as much. I thought the show would have some newer stuff, but I can see if they are small company that they would still have older type I truck. I feel sorry for those real-life companies as well, all the ambulance services around here have really nice rigs.
  5. At the very least, they could get a newer ambulance and Wyatt could at LEAST button up his uniform shirt (that irked me, I know it's a little thing but I'm sure there's very few people that would look that unprofessional).
  6. Eugh, put a warning in the topic title or a link or SOMETHING, geez. I don't remember where I heard that story, but it was somewhere on the news (national).
  7. The only medical background I have is the stuff that I learn off the internet, and I could tell that there were a LOT of inaccuracies in the show, so I didn't like it as much. As mentioned before, I really loved how the Narcan worked within 1 or 2 seconds, and the man-butt was a little over-done with the crazy John the Baptist pt. Mixed feelings about the show. :?
  8. Nevada looks accurate, but I know for a fact that here in Carson County there's EMT-B, EMT-I, and EMT-P.. in Washoe County (Reno) there's EMT-B, EMT-I, and EMT-P.. even though I've heard many people reference paramedics in Reno as EMT-II's? :? I've never seen Advanced EMT anywhere in Nevada though, although I may be wrong because I haven't been all over Nevada yet.
  9. I am definitely thinking this is how my city is run. Take a look at the EMS division. Those are the paid personnel, and they're all obviously FF/Paras.. steep requirements here for pay.. but excellent pay according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  10. Nobody has mentioned this one? The Flaming Lips - Mr. Ambulance Driver A little Flaming Lips is always nice.
  11. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics website, Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics in the Reno/Carson City Metropolitan area have the 3rd highest pay, which is $26.03 an hour (average) and $54,150 annually.
