  3. Police Based EMS works fine some areas, but my belief is that it will not work everywhere, I believe though that State Police Officers/ State Patrol Officers should be trained to at EMT standards, Due to the remoteness of there travels..

  4. I love Flight Crews, Though What I do is different than anyone else in the City( Work Search and Rescue), We have used Civilians flights as needed, but usually use Miliary (MAST) crews for med help/assistance on Searches..

We salute all the Flight Paragods and Nurses and of course the Pilots of the Choppers

There is nothing wrong with a Civilian being used as a Tactical Medic on a SWAT/TAC team, Denver uses Paramedics from Denver Health that they have trained in the use of Firearms and team tactics..

They work well together..They keep a ger bag in there amb, that has there swat gear in it and have it when needed at a scene..

I have been a Law enforcement officer for 27 years and a EMT for 20 plus years and during that time, acted as a Tac Medic on a active Federal Team, Glad I'm retired, but always willing to work as a Tac Medic..
