  1. Hi, as I am in the uk I am only able to offer advice as far as we run things over here. There are a few points to make:- 1. You need to be a full mmber of a S&R team with three years experience. 2. Your team must have a need for a dog. 3. The age of your dog. Our web site is www.nsarda.org.uk if you put that into your web search then have a look on the links page we have a number of links in there for global teams that may be able to offer advise. I myself run two dogs a black lab and a german shepherd. Good luck.
  2. Funny Sick but still it's funny!!
  3. Well the first question that needs to be asked is what type of working conditions. If you want a trolley cot then I agree that either Ferno or Stryker. Out of the two I would advise a stryker. However if you are looking for a confined spaces or dual purpose stretcher I would advise either a Paraguard or MIBS stretcher both of which I am able to get for you.
  4. Hi Timmy, a quick question for you what the hell do you carry that lot for. All we carry is the following:- Cylinder inc Valve Adult Non Rebreather Masks Child Non Rebreather Masks Adult Therapy Masks Child Therapy Masks Suction Oro and Naso Airways Adult Nebuliser Mask Child Nebuliser Mask BVM with Adult Mask

It is interesting to see the differences between the US Ambulance Services. In the UK it is different again. I agree that no adjuct should replace good basic airway management. All to often I see Paramedics going for Gucci kit first before ABC, which is what we have all been trained in regardless of level of training. BLS ILS using Oro, Naso, LMA then combitube if needed. ALS then only if required should intubation be used to secure the airway. In all honesty if you are trained to intubate why bother with the combitube. Another reason I do not like ths is due to the fact that I would never use one in trauma as you may need to move the patients head for a correct placement. So with this in mind I would either opt of LMA or intubate.
