I wouldn't carry the death of stranger with me. I am sure I would feel some pitty in the moment for family that might be there but it would not affect me for very long. I would move on and forget about it quickly.... I am sure that many Doctors eventually get completely desensitized to death. But they still perform their jobs..

If you are an EMT in NY and move to a dofferent State, do you have retake the course in the new State?

Strangers dying have no affect on me whatsoever.

You don't always need an Ambulance drivers license to get hired. One Ambulance company that I emailed said that they don't require one to hire. I am not sure if that means that they don't allow you to drive and only ride in the back or they do allow you to drive without one.

Hey I can spell! I am not writing a book so why do I need proper grammar? I am sure that the guy dying on the side of the road will not care very much about my grammar or spelling.

Some places seem to have all kinds of "Admission Requirments" just to be allowed to take an EMT class.... why is that? The Hospitol I want to take it at only requires the money and a simple application....

I am thinking of going in a year or two...the local Hospitol has the classes.. I've heard its not that hard to pass... What is the final exam like to get certified ? and how does getting hired work ? I've been told there's a high turnover rate with this job so finding a job isn't usually that hard to do... is there probabtion period or something when you get hired ?

I was told EMT jobs have a very high turnover rate and there's always jobs available -
what exactly is the final about ? It's not just a paper test ?
