I f the patient is in there right mind & don't want to be packaged, i try to tell them the reprocusions that could acure.If they still insisst on not being imobalized, Document-Document-Document. If you don't write it down,it didn't happin.Also might come back to haunt you later :wink:

I think revoking someones lisence should be based on the situation. The long hours & shortages doesn't excuse neglagence.When people can't trust going to dr.'s anymore because of headlines like; 'Dentist has his way with patient after bein put under'' & ''surgeons leave good limb and cut off bad one''. Theres no wunder malpractice insurance is so high.....

Ive seen a couple of 21/22 yr old medics that i would hole heartedly

trust. There are alot of people that wouldn't think twice about having

a young medic work on them.The 19 yr olds coming into als might

have problems with insurance & trust because of there age.

I'm sure theres advantages to the new stretchers. On the other hand it will just make some people lazier than they were before.I wish our squad would get one of them though.Some people on our squad can't lift as much as others :roll:

people have different opions on cheating.if theres intent id say yes thats cheating.

IF THATS WHAT YOUR DOING @ THE TIME,THEN THAT DOES MAKE YOU AN AMBULANCE DRIVER.IN SOME STATES YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE EMS, JUST HAVE YOUR EVOC & CPR TO BE ON A TRUCK.ANYONE THAT DOESN'T LIKE DRIVING SHOULDN'T BE IN EMS .IF YOUR NOT HIGHER UP THE SO CALLED FOOD CHAIN ,YOU WILL BE STUCK DRIVING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS :? .I PERSONALLY BECAME AN EMT TO ACCUALLY DO THE JOB, NOT BE A DESIGNATED DRIVER FOR ALS.DON'T GET ME WRONG, I HIGHLY APPRECIATE ALL ABOVE ME IN TRAINING. I JUST GET TIRED OF BEING A 'TAXI DRIVER' SOMETIMES.
