  1. There is a nearby hospital that taught a class on natural remedies from different cultures, and how those remedies might be mistaken as child or elder abuse. There might be very little mentioned of this in current EMT curriculum, and much less a class on this. An EMT instructor might touch on a certain subject, but will not go into depth about it. I hope I answered your question.
  2. ...I am a training officer at Care Ambulance in Orange County, CA. We do our own inhouse CE's. We pride ourselves in our training dept., but we need more subjects for the CE classes. We would like to teach abstract classes, not the basic EMT curriculum that is currently available. This month we have a classe on 5150, where we have an officer coming in and a PETeam member as speakers for the class. A Prehospital Emergency for the Peds Pt(PEPP), a class on Biabetes, and one on CVA's where our guess speaker is a Neuro surgeon from UCI medical center. I would like some ideas on classes that we can put on, on subjects that are abstract, that are touchy, that some instructors would not touch with a 10 foot pole. We try to educate the emt's as much as possible. These classes are open to the public, or other emt's that are not employed by our company. Oh yeah, these classes are free, with CE's for the students. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanx in advanced for your ideas on classes.
