  1. I am in the process of starting up a Paramedic Response Unit for a county. We will not be providing transports (as of yet) for the county, but will be providing paramedic intercepts. Who here has/is worked/working for a paramedic intercept? What vehicles do you run in? I am looking at the Jeep Liberty or the Nissan Xterra. Both are small enough, but provide adequate room for equipment. I used to run for a dept. that used Excursions and I really didn't care for them. Too brawny if you ask me. I'm looking for something 4 wheel drive, but not a 4x4 (if you know what I mean). Thanks for your input.
  2. Record 'Paramedics' that is on Discovery Health and show portions from that. You don't have to worry about HIPPA because it has already been aired. That should provide plenty of video reference. Good luck. http://health.discovery.com/schedule/serie...amp;channel=DHC
  3. Who here has heard of the newer PEPP (Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Providers)? I've taken the PEPP course and think it's great. I know other medics who've gone from PALS to PEPP and think it's a better program. PEPP is geared more for pre-hospital where PALS is geared more for in-hospital. Just wanted to get other opinions.

    RSI

We are able to perform RSI in the field. Our medical director has to personally train and sign off before the medic is permitted to perform the procedure. Our medical directory is a real hard-a**. That's why I like him.
