My service put the EZ -IO drill on the trucks earlier this year. A great tool in my opinion. Has anyone else had any experience with these?

In regards to the Etomidate. We use RSI in our service. I prefer RSI to Conscious Sedation. Better for the patient.

You have to be careful with COPD

Did this PT have COPD? If not I would have tried CPAP for the SOB and try to move some of that fluid out.

We use FENTANYL,MORPHINE AND DEMEROL in Missouri

Great responses. We use it our service as protocol. I feel it is a great procedure. Our medics are trained by our flight crews. I have personally assisted with 5 as an EMT-b and had 1 as a Medic so far . All very successful.

Just curious. Does anyone use RSI ( Rapid Sequence Intubation ) in there service?
