Being an EMT for 10 years and seeing alot of this, i would have done and have done the same exact thing you did. Calling command is your best source of CYA. That is a tough call, but the right thing was done. Congrats on doing what you did.

I love these type of units. Being a big guy, there is alot of room in them to stand up and work on the patient in the back. That to me is a plus. I hope that all services have at least one or two of these units in there department.

Being an EMT for 10 years in Pennsylvania and having worked for 2 different services, i personally have used all these in the field. I dont believe there are any restrictions to us using these items.
