True enough, Mike. I grossed about 25K as an EMT-B, once upon a time...but only netted around 18.5K Still, that's not TOO bad for a rural area EMT-Basic, imho. Not much of a living wage, however...but can an EMT, who is not a FF as well, actually earn a decent wage these days?

Booo, I despise Florida because of that. My plan had been to move to FL, work as an EMT-I while attending college for EMT-P. Then I investigated the matter in depth, and discovered that Florida doesn't recognize Intermediate. I was livid. I suppose I could work as a Basic, but the pay would be significantly less. For the person that asked the original question concerning I to P transition, where do you live/work? I can help with Virginia's side of things, but I know nothing about Maryland...which DustDevil already covered thoroughly.

When I 1st saw I85vsI99, I thought this was about which interstate is best...when it hit me. To the best of my knowledge (and it is vast), Virginia is Intermediate 99 only. Hello from VA, btw.
