Thanks dustdevil, if you go to Close Protection UK forum, under medical training- mister piggy, under sedation of course. Gets his arteries cut by doctor. Then they show quick clot powder poured on . From what I gather you
are spot on with your assesment of powder. Many medics over there say use bandages before powder. All advise appreciated.
Regards.

I was going over posts to see what I should carry if I go back to the sandbox. I kept on seeing references
to the above Multiple times. IE Israeli Drsg 2 EA. Large. ECT ECT. A British Ex- Para. said when the Bloody
shooting starts its bloody handy to have in your kit. I thank every one for the help. Cheers/Hail and fair well.

Thanks for the picture. I guess it would be good for a arm or leg- the UK guys in the middle east say its the bomb. Of course I think tx conditions while bullets fly around you would like some thing quick to put on.
Stay safe.
Thanks for the movie, I guess its geared toward the military/or swat medic.

Any one carry or use these yet on a GSW? Updated battle drsg. Go to google and look it up. My computer is sick
other wise I would add it to post myself.

Go to google and look up Israel Trauma drsg. All the CP Close protection guys in the UK use them. The next generation battle drsg. I look up what they carry and leave another message as far as stuff they use.

I did the tape recorder thing, then got a good field guide. Also carried a Breslow tape.
Flash cards work good. just remember kids are not just little adults. Be safe.
I once read that we forget 50 percent of what we memorized in 6 months. IE 6 months after
school. Cheers. Its just like knowing dosage calc for IV drips. you hardly use it in the field.

Hello Irish-Greetings from the states. Recently been reading some UK blogs. How much training
is required to be a medic there?
I am Irish myself, cheers.

During my years in the military- A doctor once told me Why do you think we have all those books
in our offices. Its because we go back and look things up. I agree- also if you plan on being a remote medic. I used to read it all the time. Be safe. Cheers.

Believe it or not, a friend reminded me a man and women asked their city to get permission to code injured animals to vet. IE Animal Ambulance with lights/sirens. The city was Warren MI. I believe
they were denied. The Fireman asking me was a 100 percent country/redneck gentleman. He was serious ( he also owns alot of weapons) so I answeared to the best of my ability. Be safe cheers.
Apparently the military is using pigs now instead of goats. Be carefull out there.

Just when you thought you have heard it all. I had a Firefighter ask me how to do cpr on a dog.
You know when the family dog inhaled alot of smoke when the family house went up. Well anyway,
I remembered some training I had back in the day, we had to do cpr on goats-during a trauma class.
So I told him- kneel between the legs- put one foot under the heart/ribcage(on the down side)
Place your hand or hands over the middle of the rib cage. And compress.
Worked for us in the trauma school. I also told him I am Not a VET and he should go ask one.
Also I told him people lives come first. Just thought I point that out to him.
Be safe.
