    Anyone else think that this guys presents as a neurological pathology, or combo neurological/ETOH pathology as opposed to simple intoxication?

    When I was growing up my friends and I all had horses, were in 4-H and all that. One of the trails we used to ride went down by a lake and an old cemetary. Sometimes we would tie up the horses and wander through looking at the tombstones. I remember one quite clearly..

    This story seems a bit far fetched. If it is not, I am sorry.

    I too, would like to see a news clp. A double murder/suicide will hit the news. But as others have said, there must a more to your friend's emotional stability if discovering an affair sparked this kind of reaction.

    Who hasn't been cheated on would be a better survey. It happens all the time, but we all don't climb the local clock tower and start shooting....

    I don't buy it.

    I just got over this, or what I would highly suspect was the swine flu. I was sick for 10 days with all the symptoms, but told not to come into the doctors. Not much they can do, only treat the symptoms which I can do myself. Nasty shit.

    Anyway, I was wondering if I still should get a shot. Am I immune now? Also interesting- there seems to be confusion about the length of time this virus can live on a surface. A friend of mine was told it was 48 hrs!!! Unheard of. We would all be goners. I talked to a guy at the CDC, who stated it was 2-8 hrs.

    Hi all!

    Just wondering if any of you knew how long this virus can live on a surface (such as counter tops, phones, etc.). I am working with a friend who wants me to get something out to his staff, yet insists it is 48 hrs. I know this can't be true, or hope it is not true. I am searching now for sources and info, and just getting over this myself (the swine flu), my mind is not quite getting that second oar to the water.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    He deserves the respect of being the senior United States Senator from Massachusetts!

    Why would that be? For his position? Born into. Not deserved, or earned.

    Idiots, for voting him him in, and back for so many terms. There are so many more people who should have respect and honor at their deaths that is now given to Ted. Makes me sick.

    He was a coward and a liar. He and his family have many discrections that would have sent anyone else to prison, yet, they are protected by their connections.

    Just for discussion.

    If you knew you only had so much time left.... who would you tell and why? What would you say? Would you be glad for the chance for closure, and to say all the stuff we all think from time to time but never get around to saying. We all think there is time for that later.

    Why wouldn't she just use a stroller? She could also pack those bags she was carrying on it.

    I too have seen people use leashes for their kids. I was never a fan, but I can understand in certain situations, and with certain children, it works. This is not one of them.

    I think this gal has one oar in the water.

    It just doesn't fit.

    I can't figure out what you are asking. It really would help for you to fill in more details.

    Are you stressed about moving? Horrified by the working conditions or the skills of your new coworkers? Can't get along with your superiors? Don't like their protocols? Don't like the feng shui 風水 of the fire hall?

    If you would like some advice, maybe something along the lines of: How long have you been in this field? Have you changed jobs or relocated before.... and what is your discomfort.....could help.

    Otherwise, I see this thread being taken off by wild horses.

    First off, prayers and best hopes to you and Janice. Then as far as financial support, are you in a volley dept. or paid? I see you wrote you are also in construction I think. so I would guess it is volley.

    Reach out to the community, and contact local banks. They can set up funds in your wife's name for people to donate to. You would be surprised at the support. My community has mercy pilots to fly out for chemo, meal delivery, household help, people pitch in when other's need it. We are are small community, so we help out when we can. I bet yours will too, if you ask.
