Advice for text books for Nova Scotia ACP

Recommended Posts

Hey there all,

My reciprocity application and portfolio have been approved by the EHS and I am sitting the ACP registration exam for NS in the near future. :D

I would like advice as to what text books, educational materials, tips and hints for the exam would be good to review.

I have a large selection of text books already and don't want to buy the wrong ones obviously.

Also anyone know of any websites etc would be greatly appreciated.

I will be asking both the EHS and MSOP for advice but figured asking people who have done it would get me a better usable answer.

ANY help would be geatly appreciated and rewarded with good karma

thanks

Excellent! Congrats on that! :thumbright:

We've got enough NS dudes and dudettes here that you should get some great advice.

Best of luck on that, Bro. I'm looking forward to hearing you talk us through the process as it develops. This is something that quite a few people will be interested in!

My former partner trained in Nova Scotia and he recommended you review the EHS Nova Scotia Protocols here:

A large majority of Canadian ACP programs now use the Brady Essentials of Paramedic Care (Canadian Edition) in addition to most of the usual supplmentary texts. I'm sure the other NS medics can give you better info on the text end of things.
