Someone did mention internet as well, I dont remember what page it was on. I agree that its all wrong, imagine standing up before a jury (during a sexual harassment case), and having to explain why porno is acceptable in your organization, regardless of the format it is presented in. I know if my daughter came home and told me that the manager and male employees at her fast food restaurant were watching porn on a tv that was clearly visible to everyone working there, I think I would have a problem -- why is it ok in Fire and EMS ?

At a guess, I think it's something to do with the predominantly male culture that prevails in EMS. Look at an autoshop where there are "girlie" calenders on the walls. I personally think it's a matter of choice. At our station we have digital cable with all sorts of channels including ones that show porn. I'm not a prude, I've watched in the past, but at the end of the day I'd rather watch a good Discovery documentary. The thing is with porn, is that it's so brain-numbingly boring after a while. It's like watching paint dry.....

WM.

PS - I wouldn't worry about the preacher either, if recent reports are anything to go by, he's the one who's watching the most.
