Times are tough, even for doctors. The other day I over heard a cardiologist and an ER doc talking. The ER doc told the cardiologist that he had just pronounced a cardiac arrest patient and sent him to the morgue downstairs. Things had been slow for the cardiologist, so he ran down to the morgue, thinking he could heart cath him before he went to the funeral home. When he opened the door and pulled out the tray where the patient was supposed to be, it was empty.......except for a note that said.............."Gone to Dialysis" !!
