Paramedic to RN Bridge Programs.

Recommended Posts

First of all I want to thank you all for responses to a previous post regarding third services in the US. I hope it helped others to further their careers and better their situation. I obtained a third service position and couldn't be happier. I am considering furthering my education and am curious about Paramedic to RN Bridge Programs. I will get it started with what little research I have done. This is a tough topic to get solid information from a search engine. Most of the information obtained is sales information from online correspondence programs. I have tried online programs in the past and found that the lack of structure and wait times for final exams are difficult to overcome. I am looking for actual structured programs and NOT self study programs.

Mesa Community College Phoenix, AZ

College of Southern Idaho Twin Falls, ID

North Harris Community College Houston, TX

Thank you guys for all your help and hope that the community finds this and informative and helpful thread.

Good luck. Many programs exist. Some good, others not so good. Research the program in question and talk with the instructors. Try to get a feel for how the program is set up and how well the didactic and clinical experiences are structured. Make sure the program has NLN credentials and be suspicious of programs who spout off about their NCLEX pass rates.

Good job recognizing the fact that online programs are not for you. I have seen many a paramedic fall into the pass nursing school fast and easy mentality, only to waste their time and money.

Take care,

chbare.

There are three bridge programs in my area for Paramedic to RN . Actually my area started this over 22 years ago. I myself, graduated from one 19 years ago with my ADN then went onward for my BSN, etc.

Here are the links:

Rose State College

Oklahoma City Community College:

Oklahoma State University, OKC Branch:

I know that all three had a very high pass rate on the NCLEX RN boards and have very respectable programs. Two have AD for Paramedic degree as well.
