before I left Indianapolis we got written protocols for Versed IN (IntraNasal) 10mg (5mg each Nare) for combative patients, We had to call for Orders from Medical control; but I never heard of any one being refused; Docs just wanted to track it happening before we came in with Sedated pt's.
