What is the GCS of this patient?

We had a newbie basic pick up a pt who answered questions although slightly confused, looked around and could stand and pivot and scored her as following A&Ox1 with a GCS of 3. When sup tried to talk to him he coped a huge attitude and told her she(the sup) did not know what she was talking about

Does anyone else have a problem with a scale that gives a 2 week old corpse 3 points? I know it is totally irrelevant, but it is just a pet peeve.

Guess we give points for effort. . . or somethin' ?
