AT one service I work for we respond confirm death and contact Coroner they arrive and release us and they call Funeral Home and if we or Coroner Sees anything out of place we contact PD. at the Other we respond and confirm Death contact Coroner who responds and If pt is going to Medical Examiners office for Post we Transport if not the funeral home transports unless they will be long in responding we transport at Coroners request we have contract with Coroners Office for Transports for them. PD is same only as needed or if they decide to show up to help

In Ky our EMT-B can do all the basic oxygen,AED,CombiTube,EPI Pen, Pt assist NTG,all the normal splinting the AED<EPI PEN<COMBI TUBE and pt assist ntg require employeement with Ambulance Service and protocols inplace approved by State KBEMS

i have never understood why the helemet laws were repealed In Ky the helmet law was repealed the same year our first seatbelt law was passed go figure I have personally picked up several dead that probably would have survived if they had a helmet. I understand that it is all tied to federal highway money that the fed govt requires seatbelt laws and doesnt helmet laws anymore to keep $ coming from washington

I dont hate dispatchers I hate the ones that are incompetant and do not care I have worked with some very capable dispatchers and have seen some that are not so good . I have noticed the places that I have encountered poor dispatchers usually they have poor training and little oversite so theu are not always to blaim sometimes it is the agencies fault
