  1. I don't understand why someone wants to be a preceptor if they don't like having students. Kind of unfair to the student.
  2. If cutting off clothing is going to make it easier for me to do my job, or improves patient care by reducing pain or allowing more working space, it comes off. I don't really put much thought into it.
  3. I don't see any hippa violation if treatments/injuries weren't discussed. sounds like your supervisors need a refresher on what constitutes a hippa violation.
  4. thats a stupid question. i don't understand their reasoning behind some questions like this. seems pretty irrelevant to me....
  5. I have told patients the exact same thing albeit with a little more fluff around the edges. There is nothing wrong with what he did.
  6. I love my job. Yes, it CAN be stressful sometimes but most of the time its not bad.. some calls are more stressful than others but I can't say that I've ever been overwhelmed by stress. If you can't take things in stride I wouldn't recommend becoming a medic. Some shifts are 24 and some shifts are 12.. People also work 48's or 72's..depends. You eye condition might prevent you from driving the ambulance at night but I don't see why it would hinder you from becoming a paramedic.
  7. can't say ive ever done ortho's for abdominal pain..
