  1. Has anyone heard of this yet? Its called the research works act, you can google and its not really out there in the open. Everything that Ive read about it and what Doctors are saying is kind of strange. The bill is supposed to limit public access to federally funded research by the private sector. Its passing will destroy websites such as NIH and PUBMED... I know that paramedics in general wont necessarily be affected per se, but those type of websites are wonderful tools for diagnosing and treatments in many developing countries and great study tools for people who are practicing or studying medicine or who are building research upon already founded studies. Im curious about this that not more publicity has been made but if someone else has some info on this, please share your thoughts...
  2. My program does have a very in depth cardiac section... Actually the majority of my class work leads me to most of my research way farther in depth than the nremt level, which isn't saying much but sometimes I'm not sure where to draw the line between what I need to learn to pass and what is frivolous reading at the present time. I do thank you guys for your insight and direction.. I will keep on reading..besides it'll help me in my PA school in the fall:)
  3. hahaha...nice. thanks..I have googled the heck out of it and also read a couple of books trying to look.. i wouldnt be on here asking you peoples if I havent already googled fu'd it lol....guess I should try asking the Cardiologist on my next round of clinicals "HAD" wow... i hope your still doing your research....JK... I understand what you meant.
  4. So Im in the second and final part of my paramedic program and I got some questions about: So is there a difference on the ecg between an SA or AV block? do they look the same because I have seen in different textbooks where the heart blocks are reffered to as both nodial regions. also how can one tell between a 2nd degree heart block mobitz 1 and a sinoatrial pause? And how do you differentiate between a High grade AV block and a 3rd degree complete? does the treatment differ or is this just splitting hairs?
  5. LOL. im actually in central Texas. and Im in Percom's Paramedic program..which is awesome and intensely challenging..to say the least but I already have retained knowledge that other paramedics in the field dont seem to know or cant remeber more likely... so I know Im being tought something:) >>> To Mrs. T. Crippin..I believe you just kicked me out of your emt-b chatroom just now...haha.
