Bill teaches the EMT class and parts of the Paramedic program. You will hear varying opinions on this issue. As long as you are studious and motivated to learn about EMS, the transition from the May EMT class to the July Paramedic class is definitely possible and has been done before. The application deadline for the paramedic program is usually right at the beginning of the EMT class (I think the one for the July paramedic class is April 30th. If you want to do this call in to the EMSLRC and ask them what you need to do in order to make this happen. What they will probably do is have you apply for the paramedic program before you even start the EMT program. Obviously you will have to successfully complete the EMT class before they will let you start in the Paramedic class but if all goes well they will consider your application. If you aren't already enrolled in the May EMT class you are probably too late but this could be done in November/January as well.
