    Hey David, I know some high schools actually run an EMT course as a class. You might want to check with your school to see if that is available and you just weren't aware of it! Other than that, I suggest joining a local volunteer fire/EMS department if available. It's a perfect way to gain experience. Try checking local hospitals as well, if you'd like to try to get into an EMT class in the future. I know my local hospital runs an EMT-B course yearly! Best of luck to you
