  1. I am having real issues with rhythym identification. Are there any books or anything that can help? Thank you in advance for any recommendations.
  2. Wow! I make 10.73/hr without any kind of certification, and the only training i have really is i went to vo-tech for phlebotomy and EMT-b.
  3. What about books for EKG interpretation and pharmacology?
  4. Well thats kind of funny. My house doesn't even have a shower...yet. My husband and I are remodeling the house i grew up in. I start paramedic school next month and can't work full time anymore, so we can't afford a house payment. Its not that bad we have a vintage claw foot tub. So I guess it should have said "did i take a bath today?" Also, my beagle isn't running away to "wally world" she has her own computer chair which she is sitting in right next to me at this very minute.
  5. They are horrible little creatures that steal your heart. My beagle (Sadie May) just turned 6, and i don't think i cold ever get a different breed.
  6. Anybody have any recommended web sites for a stressed out soul taking the nremt in less than 24 hours? Also interested in books to purchase for paramedis school. Thank you in advance for you advice.
  7. I have been around long enough to know the majority of the population today is stupid. I blame it on a poor gene pool. So theres no helping people, unless you are handing out thier welfare checks. O sorry i got a little carried away. I am doing this for me first, then my husband and the kids we will have someday, if i ever get out of school.
  8. No not for the money. I only became a phlebotomist because i graduated high school and realized that i had no desire to go to college at that point. Now that i am a little older and been marries for a while i (with the help of my older brother who is the assistant fire chief and a paramedic) am ready to pursue the career i have always wanted. Also i was really tired of the same thing every day. Patient comes in, i draw their blood, they leave, whos next. That is horribly boring after five years. I love my current job with the GI doctor, but i never see a patient, just talk to them on the phone(usually about thier diarrhea or hemrrhoids since that is his specialty).
  9. I am sorry . I meant for that to have a joking tone, but apparently it did not. I am going to go check this weeks wal-mart ad. Thank you for the advice. (that was also a joke)
  10. So what does a person have to do to get thier questions answered around here?
