  1. Considering I already have my temp #, and paid for the June exam, I doubt ill have to do "field eval" or need endoresment.
  2. I shouldnt say 100%, still have to write ACP in June.
  3. Just heard back on my file, 100% reciprocity in Alberta.
  4. Do you know if hes program was an Associates Degree Program, and how may hours practicum and experience he had, I am canadian citizen and I did additional hours on top of the req. about 460 als plus work experience (2600hrs)because I knew I wanted to transfer to Canada later.
  5. Yeah I will do that if it comes down to it, by the time i get the practical and written done in ontario could be 7-8 months from now so I thought it would be worth a shot in Alberta being that I want to stay here for awhile.
  6. I would invite an additional practicum or training to adjust to the Alberta ALS system, hopefully thats the case and not a complete re-take of a program, I was granted 100% reprocity in Ontario without additional hours but the testing isnt til the fall so I decided to apply in Alberta, find out soon I guess.
  7. I actually can't complain about ACP the woman I spoke too was helpful in preparing my application and she said it should only take a month or so to get a result. And on the note of American education there are some great schools usually accredited with high standards, my program had me complete 2 bio and anatomy courses, med.terminology, and pharmacology before paramedic classes even began.
  8. I had looked over paramedic courses in Alberta and the curriculums were very similiar to my American 2 yr Associates Degree program, plus a year of paid field experience on top of practicum, seems odd that they would want me to re take an entire program??
  9. Wondering if any NREMT-P's have been able to transfer to an Alberta Paramedic. I graduated a 2.5 years EMT/Paramedic Program, then worked for 2600hrs as a Paramedic in the states with all my certs. ACLS,PALS,PHTLS..
