So a noteworthy proctoglist was giving a speech at a convention. Some one in the audience commented on the fact that the good doctor had a thermometer behind his ear. The doctor examined it and exclaimed "some asshole took my pen"

I have handled firearms all my life and with that knowledge I know that I do not want to be armed in a tactical situation. Its is more then firearm skills, If you don't train for the use of lethal force then you should not go into the field prepared with it. Kinda like going out on a medical call after watching "House". That being said on a call last week while examining a customer her dog bit me in the top of the head. I managed the event fine but I am thinking of carrying pepper spray, maybe one of those gelled ones.

Well we can consider this forum jacked. So while we are on race I pose this question. When did it become wrong to be proud of your race, ethnic group ect.? Their will always be a shole in every group as well as some good people. If Obama was grandstanding when we got bin Laden I say yippee if you really wanna make me happy go cap the IRS to. i don't particularly like Obama but he is the first black American president. That took balls.

Are we celebrating the death of Osama Bin Laden or cheering that good has triumphed over evil. And should we feel guilty for being glad that a know killer and tormentor of our people is dead. I can agree with many that we (America) stick our nose where it don't belong, but if you hurt me or mine I will hunt you down and kill you and feel great accomplishment in doing it. To the 'SEAL' team as well as all the servicemen serving our country thank you.

It's not the flying you have to worry about. It's standing with the other 500 people in the TSA grope line that is dangerous. That's where the next terrorist strikes will be.
ROFL! I pray to Allah that's on YouTube!
EDIT: He did it more than once, lol!
Sigmund Freud would have fun with that.

What is right?
Well in my home town it is rude not to wave at people on the street.
Men still open the door for women.
People volunteer to help there community.
Food bank for the needy includes fresh venison.
A woman will get help changing her tire without fear.
The right to keep and bear arms.
The right to bitch about our leaders.
Public education.
The ability to go camping after a long week of work.
Our health care system.
Fishing for fun.
Hunting for fun.
Gardening for fun.
Walking to relax.
All bikini contests.
Any one who lives in the USA and does not realize just how blessed we are should really travel for awhile and get some perspective. Following that if you still don't get it. Leave

I think a argument can be made that by helping less fortunate countries we can help our selves by decreasing their need for outside help. I realize that has been tried and failed in recent history to the point of insanity, but I think the theory is strong. If we can get (in this theoretical case) there EMS system up and functional then their will be less demand for our aid in the future. The next two choices are a little less popular, one take over the problematic country make it a providence and take all it's wealth for our own and restructure it in our image, two go back to the closed door policies of a earlier generation of our country.

Having self diagnosed my self into paranoia I would offer this advise. Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff. Asking people for medical advise with this little information is a sure fire way to get bad advice. If you feel ill go see your doctor if you can't take your self call a ambulance.

break a leg, oh wait that's bad. OK knock'em dead .

it's not rust it's barnacles. Seriously EMS like fire is losing to many of the gray hairs. There experience is the wisdom that will keep you out of trouble because they have been there and seen that. Hell they even have the t-shirt. That being said some senior people in our ranks are resistant to change and that slows us down. (I want to point out that I do not know Firedoc well enough for this statement to refer to him.)

Yup he's a moron. There was no life gaurd on his gene pool. But. I think the reason you should go is team ethics as well to support your local safety Nazi. Its a thankless job.

Honestly, I have little use for splints in the sand box or otherwise. Minor stuff can be self splinted until I can do a proper immobilisation job in the ER. Major stuff will go on a vacuum mattress, scoop or both and everything is pretty much immobilised. For some of the facility transports I will use whatever the sending facility has, I'm not picky.
Take care,
chbare.
We just got a vacum mattress and were trained to it . Have not used it yet so I am interesdted in your feed back on it.
I am still a shitbag.......
